1. 5-2=3 When subtracting some thing that is'nt there use zero pairs

2. (-5)-(-3)=-2

3. 2-5=-3

4. (-1)- (-3)=2

5. (-7)-(-3)=-4

6. 3- (-4)= 7

7.(-6) - 2 =-8

8.(-2)-(-5)=3

This morning it was -2. This afternoon will be 3. Determine the difference of these temps.

Method 1 Subtract this morning from the afternoon.

Method 2 Subtract the afternoon temp from this mornings temp

3-(-2)=5 (-2)-3=-5
