ADDING FRACTIONS










Adding Fractions

there is many ways to solve fraction problems.


-one way is to show them is by drawing pictures.

For Example:



-another way is to use a diagram




For example:














once you watched that video try this and answer in lowest terms:



lowest terms mean the lowest equivalent fraction for the answer of a problem.






you could also practice on these sites:

worksheet

extra practice games

the rule for when adding fractions with like denominators(same bottom number)add only the numerator.




-DO NOT ADD THE DENOMINATOR. it has to stay the same.
